Onset is focusing on release notes
Onset is discontinuing the roadmap feature to focus on enhancing the release notes experience. Starting August 10, creating new milestones will be disabled, and by October 5, roadmaps will be completely turned off, with public URLs redirecting to your changelog. If you need your roadmap data, you can request a full export via email.
We're sunsetting the roadmap feature.
Roadmaps only work well when they sit on top of a feedback and voting layer, customers submitting requests, upvoting them, and watching things move. Building that properly means becoming a different product. We'd rather make the changelog side genuinely good than run three half-features.
So release notes is what Onset is now. That means the work goes into distribution and depth: private changelogs, in-app widget, email and Slack delivery, scheduling, and the MCP integration that lets your agent draft and publish for you.
Timeline
August 10 - creating new milestones is disabled, in the app, the API, and the MCP integration. Existing roadmap items stay editable.
October 5 - roadmaps are switched off. Public roadmap URLs will redirect to your changelog, so nothing linked or indexed breaks.
